About Us

The Second Sex Club was established in 2025 to create a space for feminists at the University of Toronto. Our mission is to promote feminism on campus through hosting events on campus and publishing articles that address feminist issues. Beyond campus, we embody our values by volunteering with a local women's drop-in shelter to help women in our community.

We encourage all UofT students, regardless of year, program, or gender identity, to become members of The Second Sex Club. Members can volunteer with us and receive our monthly newsletter.

Beyond becoming a member, there are a myriad of ways you can contribute to the Second Sex Club:

Attend Events

Our monthly events are announced on Instagram and held on the St George campus. We host events such as literary discussions, film screenings, and fundraisers. We welcome all students to attend!

Submit Your Writing

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis from all UofT students on a diverse range of topics. View our submissions page to learn more.

Become An Executive

If you're passionate about feminism and philanthropy, you should become an executive! Executive applications open each Spring and are announced through Instagram.
